IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OUR PROSPECTIVE FRANCHISEES

WHY TIME REALLY IS OF THE ESSENSE

Fidelity searches out fire protection companies all over the United States who are willing to sell their routes to our franchisees. When we find a seller he may have from one to a dozen routes to market. Once they are sold we move on to other cities. This is a unique and may be a quickly perishing opportunity in many market areas. Fidelity looks for franchisees who are nice people, are easy to get along with, who have the temperament to follow and implement the Fidelity system and who have the resources to purchase the route. When we are satisfied we have found such a person we let them buy one of the available routes immediately after the Federal Trade Commission's mandated waiting period.. There is time enough to do a thorough investigation, ask the right questions from professionals, verify the information provided by the seller and get honest answers and to make an informed decision but you must be businesslike, fast to make decisions and to act with daily diligence to get through the process swiftly.

This web site gives much more critical decision making information than traditional franchisors typically give out to their prospective franchisees. This because we have an exceptional opportunity and do not have to manipulate our prospective franchisees into buying our franchise.

WHAT IS THE WORK LIKE?

Servicing fire extinguishers is mostly lite work. You will work from a mobile service van and will do almost all of your work at the back of the van at the customers place of business. You will work outside and sometimes inside of your work van in all kinds of weather. The back of the van will provide shade and a small 12 volt fan will keep you cool in the summer. In especially cold climates a propane space heater will keep you warm while working inside your service van. You will work with managers and business owners which is usually much more rational and sane experience than working with the general public. It requires occasional moderate lifting usually less than 50 pounds. Around 65% of your work will be visual inspections, cleaning the extinguisher and putting on a new state certification tag.

WHY FIDELITY ENCOURAGES OUR FRANCHISEES TO PAY THE SELLER OF THE ROUTE A PREMINIUM PRICE FOR HIS ESTABLISHED ROUTES

Fidelity searches throughout the United States for fire protection owners who are interested in selling their businesses. Once we find them we have to convince them to divide their business into individual routes and to then sell them to you our franchisees. Most sellers would rather sell their fire protection company to one buyer rather than several buyers and be done with the process. It’s not easy to convince them to let us sell their routes off separately. Fidelity encourages the sellers to ask a premium price from you that amounts to about 20% above the going market price of such a business. In addition Fidelity pays the cost of the business brokers’ commission and then provides a retirement celebration vacation bonus for the business owner. That is why it is worth it to Fidelity for you to pay that extra 20% but why is it worth it to you to pay that premium?

If the seller has have five routes with an overall value of $400,000 it would be much harder to find one large buyer at $400,000 than to find five buyers at $80,000 to $100,000 each  In a conventional fire protection business with multiple routes the owner has to pay his employees plus all of his other operating overhead. What is left over is the owner’s profit.

As a Fidelity franchisee you will personally operate your own route without employees. You will keep all of the profit that went to pay the former route technician plus the net profit the previous owner made on the route. The difference is that the former owner may have made a net profit of about 25% of the gross profit where our franchisees as owner-operators will make about 75% of the gross profit. Can you imagine how much more profit you will make not having to pay for employees? Our owner-operator franchisees make up to three times more on the route than a conventional buyer of the business would make off of the same routes serviced by employees.

UNEMPLOYMENT IN A DEPRESSED ECONOMY

Today there are about 90,000,000 people out of work in the United States even simple semi-skilled jobs are having hundreds of applicants for such job openings. Many jobs are in non-essential industries. If the economy fails even further many of those jobs may also disappear as well. The fire protection business is an essential services industry that can be easily operated from a home based Mobil service van, has low overhead, is easy to learn, is required by laws that are generally well enforced, has good cash flow and offers greater security than just about any other type of business. Present economic conditions command a premium price for an established and seasoned route of accounts in an essential services industry.

THE VALUE OF WORKING WITH A FRANCHISOR

The Fidelity franchise system is of significant value to our franchisees. To buy the route being offered by the business broker you must also buy a franchise from Fidelity Franchise Services LLC. For Fidelity our service to you begins with finding an established route of service accounts for you to buy form an existing fire protection service company. Fidelity then pays a local business broker to find a qualified buyer like you to purchase the route of accounts. We then train you in the operations of your business both in how to service and how to minimize expenses and maximize profits. We also show you how to add other services and products to increase your income from the existing route. In addition we teach you how to aggressively market to and obtain additional new customers to increase the size of your existing route in order to increase your personal income from that route.

Fidelity also maintains a company intranet that provides you with a help desk where you can find answers to your questions. The intranet also has advertising materials, the company's instructional operations manual, a franchisee forum and provides off site computer back up of your important business files. Nelson Thomas has over thirty five years of vital industry experience in the fire protection industry.
